Another set of photos from Charles Daniel. George Keith Maitland (1854-1896) is my great great grandfather and was the youngest son of George Ramsay Maitland and Alice Anne Nisbet. He was born in Edinburgh and the 1871 Census shows him being at Hailey Bury College School in Great Amwell, Hertfordshire. He was a tea planter in Ceylon, and I’ve uploaded photos of his estate here

From what I understand he died in England. He was riding a pony and trap, and the pony was frightened by a car. The pony bolted and he was thrown and mortally injured
