  Sir Archibald Dunbar of Northfield, 6th Bt.1 M, #227081, b. 30 June 1772, d. 23 March 1847 http://thepeerage.com/p22709.htm#i227081 Last Edited=3 Sep 2008 Sir Archibald Dunbar of Northfield, 6th Bt. was born on 30 June 1772.2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Dunbar of Northfield, 5th Bt. and Hon. Margaret Arbuthnott.2 He married, firstly, Helen Cumming-Gordon, daughter of Colonel Sir Alexander Cumming-Gordon of Altyre, 1st Bt., on 6 November 1794.2 He married, secondly, Mary Brander, daughter of unknown Brander, on 26 September 1822.2 He died on 23 March 1847 at age 74.2 Sir Archibald Dunbar of Northfield, 6th Bt. succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Dunbar, of Northfield [N.S., 1700] on 20 December 1791.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Elginshire Militia.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).2 He was Convenor of Elginshire in 1813.2 Child of Sir Archibald Dunbar of Northfield, 6th Bt.
